Gnash 0.8.7... miglior integrazione e modalità full-screen!

E' disponibile su Haikuware la versione 0.8.7 del porting di Gnash realizzato dallo studente polacco Adrian Panasiuk, (a.k.a Adek336).

Questa versione arriva con nuove caratteristiche per quanto riguarda il porting su Haiku. L'integrazione è stata migliorata ed ora Gnash utilizza per la sua GUI il Be toolkit nativo ed il Media Kit per la gestione del suono. Sia la versione stand-alone del player (avviabile da terminale con la linea di comando haiku-gnash filename.swf) che il plugin per Firefox supportano la modalità full screen. La velocità e le performance del player sono state migliorate e permettono di godere la visione del filmato anche in modalità full-screen senza problemi. L'uso del toolkit nativo per la GUI e la gestione del suono con il Media Kit ha permesso di rompere la dipendenza dalle librerie SDL; percui questa release ha bisogno di minori dipendenze ed utilizza solo ffmpeg, giflib e boost.thread inoltre il programma ha bisogno di OpenSSL e Curl che sono inclusi nella gran parte delle immagini Haiku. E' stato aggiunto il supporto Unicode.

    Changes implemented upstream by the GNU Gnash team in 0.8.7 include

        * dynamic gradient fills
        * saving the playback in the form of a series of png files.
          For example, the command haiku-gnash file.swf --screenshot=all will save all rendered frames under a default naming pattern, whereas haiku-gnash file.swf --screenshot 1,10,last --screenshot-file Capture-%f.png will save the first, tenth and last frame under the names of Capture-1.png, Capture-10.png andCapture-last.png.

          The resulting images can be joined with image magick into an animated gif file or with ffmpeg into a video file.

        * Refactoring to eliminate most static data and get closer to re-entrant VM
