Haiku Bug/Ticket

Something like jump to item and/or context search.

Currently there is no way to control items in playlist window via keyboard.

This is r38570 in VirtualBox. Before recent ffmpeg update this file used to play fine.

Since r38363 and/or r38329 my EeePC 4G (800x480) shows a white screen after all the boot icons are shown OK. The build is a gcc4 build. Looks like "under the white screen" Haiku is booting OK.

When trying to boot Haiku from CD it fails with this error message: "PANIC: did not find any boot partitions!"

This happens in Alpha 2 as well as in nightly build 38122, the CD drive and all HDDs are connected using SATA . Safe mode options don't help.

This bug is almost two years old and since I cannot reproduce the problem, I assume it has been fixed. Please provide test streams and reopen the ticket if you can still reproduce it.

I still have quite a few files that don't play properly, or where seeking is a problem. However the MediaPlayer seeking code has been much improved now and many files seek properly that didn't work before at all. Audio will now catch up if it could not be seeked to the same position as the video stream. I believe remaining seeking problems would be in the Reader plugins and would be specific to certain files.

The MP3 decoder has been disabled in favor of the FFmpeg plugin's support for MP3. So far I have not seen a single seeking crash with MP3 streams anymore.

In r38541, I've disabled the Matroska reader and enabled Matroska support in the FFmpeg plugin. Playback of MKV files is not perfect, specifically the audio will take a long time to catch up with the video after seeking, but support for MKV has improved significantly. Also I didn't observe anymore crashes with the FFmpeg plugin as with the Matroska reader. Since the linked stream specifically plays perfectly now, I consider this ticket fixed.

The item is in the top left corner of the container (see screenshot).

"Edit name" results in a text field that is misplaced to the right and extremely narrow, hiding the name to be edited.

Haiku Nightly 38478

Haiku r38527 if you try launch clockwerk you will get error "Can't find symbol".

I think recompilation will solve issue.
